Try studying with a partner. Having a partner can help you memorize important facts. Ask your partner
to ask you questions, like ones you might have received in class. Then try to answer them. See how many you can get right.
You can even make it a competition between the two of you.

When studying, find a quiet place away from distractions.
Make sure you have all materials you'll need for studying such as:
class folder
books
pencils/pens
highlighters
looseleaf paper/notebook
class notes
handouts
planner
