Students gather at Ramsey High School for the EIDASC Spring Workshop.  In the foreground are the chain links that we sold to raise more than one thousand dollars to help children who really needed it.  Thanks to everyone who was involved in organizing this donation!  Remember, together we can make a difference!

On March 8,2005, I had the chance to attend the EIDASC Spring workshop in Ramsey, Illinois, with the theme of "Stu. Co. On The Go!". 92 students and 10 advisers were present for this event, and it lasted from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

I was excited to meet a lot of new people that night, and it proved to be a very fun experience. There were many discussion groups, which included: Don't freak Out; Be Proud!, Just between Us, Teacher Appreciation, Scrap booking, and Group Works.

The EIDASC chose a unique fundraiser for their cause. They decided to raise money for Save the Children, which is a 30-year-old program.  Everyone school was all told to sell paper links for $1 each, in order to make a chain symbolizing the support of the great cause.  We were to bring our chains to the workshop to show our progress. In all, $1150.50 was raised for Save the Children, which would use the money to aid the Tsunami Victims in Southern Asia.

I want to thank Ramsey High School for hosting the EIDASC Spring Workshop. We all had a great time and we hope to see you again soon.
