By posting handouts here, I won't have to worry about distributing extra copies in class. If you lose a paper, you know where to go.  I can't guarantee that all handouts will be available here, but I'll do my best.

Love Project

 

Create a love booklet that expresses what you have learned during this unit and your personal beliefs about love.  Your booklet must contain the following information:

 

          1 side – Your name and Title (something other than Love Booklet)

         

          5 sides – Five “Love” unit poems of your choice. 

          The title, selected line(s), the theme, and how it 

          relates to you or society.

 

5 sides – Five quotes from poems, songs, famous

people, etc. with your own explanations for each. 

Be sure to state the sources.

 

5 sides – Interview five people from different generations.  Ask one of the following questions:  

                             “What is love?”

                             “What is the definition of love?

              Quote their responses.  Include each person’s

               name, age, marital status, and (when applicable)

               number of years married.

 

          2 sides – Your own ideas on what:

                             Love is...(at least five)

                             Love is not...(at least five)

 

          2 sides – Expectations for the future:

                             Spouse – Five expectations of your

                                             spouse

                             Child – Three acts of love that you will

                                            give your future child

 

GRADING CRITERIA:

 

25 points – 5 textbook poems

25 points – 5 quotes

25 points – 5 interviews

10 points – 10 personal comments

10 points – future expectations

20 points – creativity and 

                   decoration

20 points – presentation (at least

                   one section)

135 points – TOTAL
