By the time we are back in school after spring break it will be spring! Hopefully we will be able to tell it is spring when we are out for recess! In February the Ground Hog saw his shadow and his prediction has proven true. Not going out for recess on the 11 of March because it was too cold! As a class we also thought that March did come in like a lamb too, and we are not looking forward to the lion!
Students continue to work hard in all subjects. Our next chapter in math is on geometry, and then money. In reading nonfiction books seem to be a favorite with a lot of students. Wednesday has become the day we concentrate on writing. Watching our capitals, punctuation, spelling, and using topic sentences. We made a class book about our Habitat for Humanity project one Wednesday. It has a setting, characters, a problem, a solution, as well as a beginning, middle, and an end. Ask your child to check it out from our take home library so they can read it to you.
