This week's Assignments: October 27 - 31

A reminder to all that this is just a plan. Things change due to schedule changes and content mastery. **NOTE TO ALL: QUALITY OF WORK IS AN EMPHASIS THIS YEAR. STUDENTS WILL HAVE SHORTER ASSIGNMENTS TO ENCOURAGE ACCURATE WORK. Due ITBS some classes may not meet all week

MATH 8th: Concepts covered will be finalize lesson 3 adding and subtracting rational #'s and intro lesson 4 multiply rational numbers and lesson 5 dividing rational numbers. Possible assignments:page 78-79, and lesson quizzes



MATH 7th: Concepts covered will be to intro chapter 2 integers and rational numbers and lesson 1 integers. There will be quizzes after each lesson. Possible assignments:no assignments. We will also work on test taking skills

MATH 6th: Concepts to be covered will be to intro lesson 2-6 solving subtracting equations and lesson 2-7 multiplying equations, a quiz will be taken after each lesson. Possible assignments: Page 79-80

SOC. ST. 8th: WE will begin our election unit. This unit all 3 grades will do. since we will not have another major election for 4 years. The 8th graders will be asked to do some extra work to complete the unit. The goal is to have all students pre-k and up vote on Oct 30 in the state mock election. We will take this week to look at the political spectrum and what it means to be a a Democrat or Republican. A quiz on the Constitution will be given on Tues. or Wed


SOC. ST. 7th: We will be studying World History. Our focus will be on unit 2 Egypt. We did not get to the myth part of the lesson. This will be moved to the end of the unit. Students will create a presentation on Egypt with powerpoint. This is being done along with their tech class. They have a rubric to tell what needs to be done. It will be due at the end of the month( tentatively)They are also doing the election coverage

SOC. ST. 6th: (a note we will meet 3 times a week, on Mon and Thurs we will use the time for more math) We will be looking at World Cultures this year. Concepts studied this week will be the political spectrum and a quiz on politics.

GUIDANCE 8th: We will do follow up to Red Ribbon Week


ART 7th: Drawing: We will continue our court jesters drawing and then paint.
