LANGUAGE ARTS:




We will be reading the story, "My Side of the Mountain". Our spelling,vocabulary and comprehension all come from the story. Spelling lists should be taped in your child's planner for the week. Please ask about what we have read or done each day. Your child should be reading 20-30 minutes per night.

Math:

Our current chapter is Geometry. We continue to take daily MMF tests. We also take weekly two minute tests and math probes. We use these two tests, along with chapter tests, to help follow student growth.



Please spend time each evening practicing basic facts, especially division. The students take timed-tests daily.

Social Studies:



Iowa History! Wonderful Waterloo podcast.

Science:

We will look at the science practices in Iowa and how they affect agriculture and people of our state.
