I graduated in December 2001 from UNI with a BA in Elementary and Middle Level Education. My minor was Reading. I did some
substituting the spring of 2001 and took my first job at BGM (in Brooklyn, IA) in the fall of 2001. I taught Reading and Study
Skills at BGM for 5 years. I was the Jr. High Student Council Advisor and I spent a year coaching our high school Speech team.
Due to my husband's job, I moved back to the Waterloo area in March 2006. I have been teaching at Sacred Heart since August
2006.
I am originally from St. Peter, MN (about 1 hour south of the Twin Cities). I came came to Iowa to attend UNI. I met my
husband Mark here, who is a Waterloo native, and we were married at Sacred Heart in May 2001. I have 4 beautiful boys, 3 of
which are living. My oldest son, Nathan, is 6. My middle son, Isaac Joseph, passed away in June 2004 because of an umbilical
cord accident at birth. My third son, Branden, is 3. My youngest son, Kaleb, was born January 29, 2008. We also have a yellow
lab, Remington.
