Welcome to Mr. A's - PE class website. Here you will find an explanation of what the students in each Unit will be
involved in for the month. PE at Sacred Heart School is fun, and challenging as we learn that physical activity is very important
in our daily lives.
Except for the distance run we have completed
fitness testing in Units B and C. About 60 students have qualified for either the National or Presidential Fitness Award.
To compete the requirement we will be running the 1/2 mile or mile run in the next couple of weeks. Students will be bringing
a permission slip home to allow them to do this. As the end of the year draws near students in Unit A will be involved in
a variety of activities involving ball skills, tagging and cooperative games. Students in Unit B will be involved with soccer
skills and lead-up games. Students in Unit C will spend a total of 4 classes on our Fish Iowa Unit and then spend a day fishing
at Hickory Hills Park on Monday May 11. If you would like to go on this fun trip please call the school office and tell us
of your availability, we will need as much help as we can get.
