Hello, I'm Mrs. Blackman.
I began teaching at Benton Consolidated
High School in 1994. I received my bachelor's from Eastern Illinois University in the areas of Special Education and Business
Education. I received my Masters of Education degree from Southern Illinois University in 2005 in the area of Workforce Education.
Prior to teaching at Benton High School, I was a director at a wonderful preschool - POKO LOKO in Glenview and Prospect

My passion is teaching students job skills. The skills they will
need to be successful in life. All the classes I teach are life skill classes. You will use the knowledge obtained in these
business classes during your life time.
I teach Business Orientation, Business Math I, Business Math II, Child Care
Occupations, Job Shadowing, and Career Prep. The business department also offers Computer Concepts, Record Keeping, Keyboarding,
and Business Management taught by Mrs. Kearney.
