General Information
All math classes run the same way. The daily homework is corrected at the beginning of the period. Students may ask questions
on the previous night's homework and the assignments are collected. The new material is then presented in class. Students
are required to take daily class notes and those notes are a part of their grade. Usually there is about 15 minutes at the
end of the period to start on the next day's homework and ask questions. The amount of time at the end of class may vary depending
on the length of the explanation and if there is a quiz that day.
Grading System
Grades are based on four components.
50% Test Grades
30% Quiz Grades
10% Homework Grades
10% Notes Grades
There is extra credit offered on Fridays which is included as points in the homework grade. Each quarter there is an
extra credit project that is included as points in the test grade. All quizzes can be corrected for extra credit. I can assist
with the corrections during class if you need help.
