Here are a few thing you can try with your child whild studying Spelling words:
Spelling tips--
Make a list for the car and practice while in route.  Life is busy.
-use a tray or pan with the bottom covered with sugar or salt and have the children write the spelling words (it stimulates the tactile learners)
-have the children both print and write in cursive when they write their spelling words
-use different colored pencils to visual stimulate them after a long day at school.

Try different approaches to studying with your child.  Some children learn more in small increments of time and some do better studying for longer periods.  Track the different approaches and that weeks' grades to see what study habits work best for your child.  Time of day studying can make a also make a difference for some children.
