In Health students received their CPR certification cards. We are finishing an Alcohol unit and taking an exam over material covered over the past 2 weeks. Starting November 18th we will be starting a Nutrition Unit which will take us through Thanksgiving break.

In Geography, we are reading a book called 'Shipwreck at the Bottom of the World". We are doing our work in class. We are reading and taking quizzes and the books stay in class. The chapters being covered this week are 11, 12, and 13. The goal is to be finished with Shackelton by Thanksgiving break. The next Unit will be States and Capitols of the United States beginning December 1st.

Parents, remind your child to touch base with me when they miss a day of school in order to get their make-up work. We take an attendance grade periodically and it includes being on time to class, being prepared (Having a writing utensil and book). I also spend a lot of time reminding them to be accountable for their work and bring a good, positive attitude to class. Your help in asking them about their progress in class and reminding them to do these things is greatly appreciated.

Remember, Attitude is a Choice.

Welcome Winter Sunset

Later on, we are going to write a paper about the book we are reading in Geography about Ernest Shackleton. I would like you to think of who your favorite character is and why?
