I have been an Educational Technolgy Professional since September 1999. I began my career in education at
Upper Scioto Valley in Hardin County. I served the USV School District for 5 years before coming to New Riegel in the
fall of 2004.
I am from Findlay, Ohio and graduated from Findlay High School in 1984. I attended and graduated from Ohio University
in Athens in 1989 with a degree in Video Production / Broadcasting. Upon graduation I began my broadcasting career at
Cable News Network (CNN) in Atlanta, Georgia a position I held for two years until joining the former Continental Cablevision in
Findlay, Fostoria, and Tiffin as the Local Programming Manager in charge of local productions.
After four years at Continental Cablevision and gaining much knowledge in PC Computing I worked for several
companies in the Findlay area including The Courier Newspaper, Blanchard Valley Hospital, and for Findlay City Schools
as an independent contractor. It was at Findlay City Schools that I realized that education is where me heart was and
I began work on a Master's Degree in Education from The University of Findlay in 1999. I received my Master's in Education
with an Elementary 1-8 certification in May of 2000 which was at the conclusion of my first year at Upper Scioto
Valley. After my 2nd year at New Riegel I earned a K-12 Technology Endorsement from Bluffton University in 2006.
I am married to Cathy, a dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher at Cory-Rawson, the district in which we live and raise our two
children, Jonathan age 11, and Caitlin age 4. Maggie, our Golden Retriever, is also an important part of our family.
I enjoy working with people, especially children, and I will continue to strive to make Educational Technology at New
Riegel second to none.
