Developing WebQuests

WebQuest Project Name

Write a short paragraph here to introduce the webquest to the students. Use a motivational introduction or provide a brief overview.

The Task
Describe clearly what the end result of the learners' activities will be. The task could be a:
1) series of questions that must be answered
2) summary to be created
3) problem to be solved
4) position to be formulated and defended
5) creative work
6) anything that requires the learners to process and transform the information they've gathered.
Resources
Use this space to point out places on the Internet (or physical resources in the classroom/Media Center e.g: Ebsco, ProQuest, etc.) that will be available for the learners to use to accomplish the task. Try to limit your Internet resources to 2 to 4 quality sites. Be sure your students will be able to find what they need. An example of an Internet resource is: The FBI provides information regarding their 10 Most Wanted Fugitives.
The Process
To accomplish the task, what steps should the learners go through? Number the steps in the procedure.
1) This is step one.
2) This is the second step.
3) .... and so on.

Learning Advice
Provide some guidance on how to organize the information gathered. This advice could include: suggestions to use flowcharts, summary tables, concept maps, or other organizing structures. The advice could also take the form of a checklist of questions to analyze the information with, or things to notice or think about.
Conclusion and Assessment
Put a couple of sentences here that summarize what they will have accomplished or learned by completing this webquest. You might also include some questions that encourage them to extend their thinking into other content. Be sure to include how the students will be assessed.
