Assignments
MATH: Flashcards continue to be sent home each Monday. There is a record card
for parents to initial at the completion of the assignment. Keep practicing the flashcards weekly! We are working
on fact families in Math, and flashcard practice really does help.
Monday through Thursday students have a Simple Solutions worksheet for homework.
SS quizzes are on Friday.
READING: Each Tuesday a leveled reader and worksheet will be sent home for homework. The
assignment should be completed, and returned in the bag.
SPELLING: Each Wednesday a Spelling worksheet will be sent home for homework to help prepare for the
weekly Spelling test.
DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR HOMEWORK PAPERS!!!

SPELLING Week of
Oct. 6-10
We are working on Unit 8. This word list has also been given to the students.
The first chance test is Thursday, Oct.9. The second chance test will be on Friday. All words have the short a
or o vowel sound this week. The spelling words are: that, have, sat, of, job, rock, bad, van, sad,
spot, clock, doll. The optional Challenge words are: action, pocket, bottle, and one mystery review word from
Unit 7.
Continue to work hard on your spelling! Practice writing your words neatly. KEEP UP THE
GOOD WORK!
