I am very excited that you are interested in joining (or have joined) the school band or choir program this year.  Learning to play a musical instrument or learning to sing properly is a very rewarding and educational activity that you will treasure for a lifetime.  

Everyone involved in the choir or band plays an important part. Unlike athletic teams, there is no “second string” or substitutes.  Each of you will be a “starter” and there is no replacement.  You will learn that teamwork, loyalty, dependabililty, and dedication are vital ingredients to the success of our Music Department which will also carry over into many other aspects of your life, now and in the future.  These qualities are extremely valuable personal attributes which will remain with you throughout whatever career you may choose later in life. 

TOGETHER, we can make our Music Department, either by singing or playing a musical instrument, the best Eagleton Middle School has ever enjoyed hearing and something you can be proud of.  I look forward to seeing and teaching each of you.  Hope you had a great summer and are ready to get back to work making music.
