Missing Easy Points

        The 1st quarter is almost over and grades are definitely not where they should be. Many of your grades are extremely low because you are failing to turn in key items.  Midterm grades went out last week. So unless you want a low grade on your final report card for the 1st quarter, you may want to do the following;

  • PODS
    • Make sure to turn in all PODs (problems of the day - warm up problems) every Friday. If you forgot them on Friday, turn them in the following Monday.
  • Journals
    • Every Friday, a newsletter is published and at the bottom is a journal prompt. Be sure to read the newsletter in its entirety and answer the questions listed at the end of the newsletter. Each one is worth 100 points and I have entire classes that have not turned in a single one yet.
  • Portfolios (Binders)
    • Binders are each worth 100 points. Algebra AB and CD have had theirs checked once and Geometry A twice. If you still haven't purchased one, please do so immediately.
  • Make-up work
    • If you are absent, make sure to make up whatever work you missed. There are many students who have failed to make up quizzes/exams. Remember, you have a quiz or exam every single Friday.
