Ms. Maclin

What have I done...

Well, I love variety, so here I go...

I am a certified PreK-12th grade Deaf Ed. Teacher, English as a Second Language Teacher and American Sign Language Teacher. I am also a certified Level One Interpreter with the Board of Evaluator of Interpreters for the State of Texas.

Where have I traveled/worked?

I have traveled/stayed in Belgium, England, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, China, Mexico(different places in Central America), the Bahamas, and all over the United States.

Before Boyd I have worked as a bank teller, sales associate, teacher, interpreter, supervisor, hostess, waitress, babysitter, secretary, missionary, substitute teacher and I think that is it! I volunteered at a deaf school in the summer of 2007 in Rio, Bravo Mexico!

I worked as a summer missionary at a deaf church called Silent Friends Chapel in Dallas, TX and at Eagles Wings Youth Ranch in Mountainair, NM.

I LOVE teaching. I actually never thought I would end up in a high school classroom...hello I am five feet tall and look very young...so I can't age, who cares! But, wow I didn't know what God had planned for my life. But now that I teach at a high school, I don't ever plan to change that. I LOVE IT! What an experience! It just goes to show that God is in control of our lives and only he can make you truly content and happy. Below is a picture of me and my past students from LHS on a trip to Galveston.
When I was there, I taught Math, English, reading, life skills and Reading 180(I also liked to throw in current events!).
