The Art Room Ceiling Tile Gallery was begun in 1996, under the direction of Ms. Linda Moucha (Mrs.
L.M. Davis), K-12 Art Instructor. The art room was in the current high school math room. Upon the completion
of the new art room, the ceiling tiles were transferred to their current location. All painting class students are
required to paint a tile which emulates a master or an historical period of art. Artists such as Picasso, Michaelangelo,
Chagall, Whistler, Magritte, Warhol, O'Keefe, Van Gogh and Leger are represented.
Ceiling tiles have also popped up in virtually every classroom. The art department will continue to brighten
up the ceilings of the district as long as there are blank tiles left for canvases!
