LANGUAGE ARTS RULES
Each one of you received a handout of the classroom rules and procedures on your first day
to take home and get signed. These are the posted rules.
1. Students will respond in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
2. Students will follow handbook rules at all times.
3. Students will raise their hand to be recognized.
4. Students will have all required materials for class.
5. Students will sit in their assigned seats.
AR TESTING RULES
1. All books must meet requirements for the assigned six weeks.
2. All books must be signed in by class period on the clipboard. Level, points,
and date are required.
3. You cannot take an AR test on a book not recorded on the clipboard.
4. You cannot sign in a book on the same day you take the test.
5. You can only take one AR test a day.
6. If you are not happy with your test grade, you may read another book and test during
that six week's period. I will take the highest test grade.
7. AR tests grades count as two tests grades for the class. That means they go
in the gradebook four times.
8. After testing over required book, you may read any books of your choice. You
will not test over these books. You will always need a book to read with you in all classes.
CLASS LIBRARY RULES
1. Books can be checked out for one week at a time. You can recheck a book if needed.
2. If a book is over a week late, the student will be fined a nickel a day.
3. You can check out only one book at a time.
4. If you damage or lose a book, you must pay for the book's replacement.
5. You cannot check out another book if you owe a fine.
