I just wanted to let you all know a little bit about myself. My name is Leah Waters and this
is my third year teaching. Many of you know me from last year as being Ms. Kroencke. I got married on May
13, 2006. For two years I taught 3rd grade here at Barry and was the assistant coach of both Jr. High and High school
volleyball. This year I'm excited to be teaching you in second grade and about being the head Jr. High and High
school volleyball coach. I graduated in 2000 from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science and Exercise
Physiology. I then moved back to the area and went to the University of Illinois Springfield to get my teaching certificate.
I am pursuing my masters in education at this time and hope to be done the summer of 2007. I now live in the country
near Hull. I enjoy hunting, exercising, sports, reading, riding horses, helping on the farm and traveling.
I have 3 cats, (who all think that they are dogs!) and one puppy who is 6 months old. She is a Weimaraner named
Clover. I am looking forward to teaching and learning with the you all this year.
