This year in my second grade atWestern, Barry Elementary our class has 13 members. There are 7 girls
and 6 boys! This group of students is working hard reading, spelling, math, science and social studies. We
also enjoy art, music, PE, library, keyboarding and the computer lab. We have very busy days!
We are learning about communities and know we are part of our school community. We joined
our community for the annual Apple Festival and walked in the parade! We really enjoyed passing out candy to the
hundreds of people that lined the streets of Barry.
In science we have studied habitats, plants and animals. We made a vivarium which is a
habitat for insects and are currently observing an ant farm. We planted seeds in a way that let us see the seeds sprout
and see the roots.
We had an assembly called "Ease the Tease" and went to a play at Hannibla LaGrange College.
