Study Hall Rules and Expectations
- You must have a signed pass to come to the Media Center. Please
use the rest rooms or stop at your locker before coming to Media Center. Once
you are in the Media Center you will not leave unless it is to return to study hall.
- Please sign-in legibly and place your pass in the box. Signing
in provides proof that you were in Media Center and also helps us keep usage statistics.
- Seating will be two students per table.
- Please come prepared to work productively. The Media
Center is not a social hang-out. You are welcome to read books and magazines,
use the computers, and work on homework. Talking and sleeping are not acceptable
behaviors in the Media Center. If your behavior becomes a concern to either Mrs.
Gassman or Mrs. DeSousa, you will be asked to correct it once. If you do not
comply, you will return to study hall. IF YOU ARE RETURNED TO STUDY HALL, YOU
MAY NOT RETURN TO THE MEDIA CENTER FOR A FULL WEEK (5 DAYS).
- Internet usage is available to all students who have turned in their Acceptable Use Policy, indicating
that your parents have given you Internet permission. Usage is limited and monitored. We should find you in educationally relevant sites.
We should not find you in email, on message boards, shopping sites, or any other inappropriate sites.
- If you choose not to return to study hall during your break, you may remain in the Media Center to
use the Internet for limited self-discovery as long as all of the above expectations are being met.
