I grew up in Grafton Illinois. My favorite hobby in Grafton
was exploring the river banks and catching every snake I could find. Today training and flying our white
doves is very exciting for us. I also like fishing, hunting, dancing, and gardening. Shirley & I go riding
on our Utility 4x4 Mule every chance we get.
I married my high school sweetheart, Shirley Newton. We have
2 wonderful daughters and son-inlaws, 3 granddaughters and one grandson.
After college, I spent 21 years in the United States Air Force and as
a missile launch officer and ROTC instructor. After retiring from the Air Force I moved to Pike County to
teach school. I have always had a passion for science and like to read and learn about biology, astronomy, and geography.
