January 15, 2005 (Saturday) - 9th Grade GT Leadership Retreat to the Leadership
Institute at Austin College
Permission forms are now being accepted for the 5th annual 9th Grade GT Leadership retreat.
This is a very popular event and is limited to the first 50 students who return their signed permission forms to Mrs.
DeLisle.
Forms will be numbered in the order received. A waiting list will be made, if necessary,
also listed in the order received after the 50 have been designated.

January 10 - February 7, 2005 - Kindergarten screening for ALPHA
The Texas State
Plan for the Education of Gifted and Talented Students requires that MISD screen all Kindergartners for giftedness during
January and February of their Kindergarten year. That time is here! This effort will require the cancellation of 1st-3rd grade
Alpha classes. Your child’s Alpha teacher will be administering the tests to the Kindergarten students. The ALPHA classes for 1 st-3rd grade
will resume on February 14.
