I grew up on a farm near New Riegel and went to school there.  I later attended classes at Bowling Green State University.

  My husband Bob and I were married in 1967 and have 5 children.  I returned to college and graduated from Heidelberg College when I was 31.  I started teaching at St. Joseph School in 1979.  Our children all graduated from St. Joseph and from Calvert.

  We have 14 grandchildren -- 1 in college, 1 at Calvert, 3 at St. Joseph, 2 at St. Mary, 3 out of town schools, and 4 little ones.  My husband and I love to go watch all of their activites -- football, volleyball, basketball, or whatever they are doing.

  I also love to read and do crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles.  I like to play pool with my husband, but I am still learning the game.

  I love working with first graders.  It is so exciting to watch their progress and to see their faces light up when they understand things.
