St. Joseph Parish Health and Wellness Ministry is coordinated by a Faith Community Nurse. The program is sponsored and
supported by the parish and Provena Mercy Medical Center. The primary function of the Faith Community Nurse is "the intentional
care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting wholistic health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community"
(American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice - Faith Community Nursing, 2005).
