Welcome to the self-contained classroom website. This class is intended for students who are working at at all different academic levels, with different textbooks and different curricula. Self-contained classes are highly individualized and offer structure, routine, and appropriate expectations. There is rarely any homework in this class, but if there is an assignment given, it will be posted here as well. (Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you may have).

Announcements and Topics for Learning for the week of 11/17/08
Science: We are finishing Newton's first three laws
Reading: We will continue to read Anne Frank, Diary of a Young Girl .
Reading: Everyone should have a Book Adventure Book read and take a test on it by Thanksgiving break.
Language Arts: We are finishing Adjectives and Adverbs.
Math: Lowest Common Multiple, adding and subtracting fractions.
Social Studies: We will discuss World War II this week as we begin the novel.

Don't forget, please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for Wellness.

Monday the eighth grade will be going to Pellissippi
School is out early on Wednesday 11/26/08 and out Thursday and Friday November 27 and 28 next week for Thanksgiving
