Welcome to my class!

Hello, my name is Donna Hardwick. I have been a teacher at EMS for 4 years. I grew up in Blount County. I graduated from Alcoa High School and from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

This year I am teaching several different subjects.

For 6th grade students I am teaching a Math Intervention class. This is a class that all 6th grade students will take for 9 weeks. I am also co-teaching a block of Language Arts in 8th grade. I will be teaching the Reading portion of that block. My 4 other classes for the day are Teen Living classes. This is a class taught to 7th and 8th grade students for 9 weeks.

I am very excited about this new school year. In order to provide an acceptable learning environment for every student I expect each student to be responsible for following all school classroom rules.

My classroom rules:

Only bottled water is allowed. All other drinks and food will be thrown away.

Bring planners, paper, pencil, and books to class daily. - Be Prepared.

Students are expected to complete all assignments on time and participate in class activities.

Do not sit on cabinets or tables. Use all classroom equipment properly.

Treat everyone with respect.

I'll post the answers on the "Class Bulletin Board" page.

Consequences for not following school and class rules:

Clipart of a pencil; Size=135 pixels wide

Warning and student conference.

Phone call to parent.
