Homework

            Students may have up to one hour of homework each night.  They should know how to complete the homework without parent help.

 

                        All students need to complete the ACR reading requirements

                        each quarter.

 

                        All students read one assigned novel per quarter.

 

                        All students must memorize the preposition and helping verb

                        lists.

 

Grades

Assignments not worth a C grade are marked redo. Both the original work and the redone work must be turned in together. The highest grade a student can earn on redone work is a C.

 

Exemplary student work earns a keeper grade, valued at more than an A.

Keeper work is displayed as a model for students to emulate.

 

Thursdays are cumulative test days in spelling, vocabulary, grammar, diagramming, and math.

 

Students take weekly diagnostic reading tests.

 

Discipline  

Students are expected to act in a Christ like manner. They must respect and encourage each other.  Non appropriate student behavior is discussed with the student privately and an appropriate consequence occurs. Parents are immediately informed of serious behavior violations.
