Welcome to  German class at Vestavia Hills High School!

Willkommen! We are glad you chose or continued the study of German. This website is designed to help you with your studies. Be sure to check back often for updates.

Supplies needed for the classroom
German 1
  • Red and black pen, pencil (#2)
  • Binder (1 1/2") with wide ruled filler paper
  • 3x5 index cards (1 pack of white and 2 packs of multi colored)
  • Facial tissue
  • Overhead Projector Marker
  • 1 Legal Size File Folder
  • German English Dictionary (Harper Collins preferred, must be published after 1999)
  • 2 workbooks will be supplied by the teacher. If lost, the student must pay to have them replaced.
  • Recommended: Highlighters (pink, yellow, blue & 1 other color)

German 2

  • Red and black pens and a pencil
  • 1 Dry Erase Marker  (Low odor)
  • Binder (1 1/2") with wide ruled filler paper
  • 3x5 Index cards (1 pack of white and 2 packs of mulit color)
  • 1 roll of Paper Towels
  • Flash Drive recommended
  • German English Dictionary (Harper Collins preferred, must be published after 1999)
  • 2 workbooks will be supplied by the teacher. If lost, the student must pay to have them replaced.

German 3

  • Red and black pens, pencil
  • Binder (1 1/2") with wide ruled filler paper
  • German English Dictionary (Harper Collins preferred, must be published after 1999)
  • Mastering German Vocabulary - A Thematic Approach (Barron's)
  • Dry Erase Markers
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Flash Drive recommended
  • 2 workbooks will be supplied by the teacher. If lost, the student must pay to have them replaced.
  • Recommended: Highlighters (pink, blue, yellow & 1 other color)

German AP

  • Red and black pens, pencil
  • Binder (1") with wide ruled filler paper
  • 1 Dry eraser Marker
  • Index cards encouraged
  • German English Dictionary
  • Mastering German Vocabulary - A Thematic Approach (Barron's)
  • Clorox wipes
  • Flash Drive recommended 
  • 2 workbooks will be supplied by the teacher. If lost or damaged, the student must pay to have them replaced.
