There are two types of program offerings at the Academy of Early Learning - the Integrated Preschool programs & the Greenfield Public School Head Start Collaborative Preschool.

Integrated Preschool Programs

The integrated preschool programs offer primarily full day and some half day options. The curriculum includes experiences in physical, social and cognitive development, and is aligned with Massachusetts State standards. Often activities are arranged around themes, such as colors, seasons, animals, etc. Opportunities for learning occur in individual, small and large group settings. The schedule is designed to provide a balance of active play/exploration/guided discovery and rest periods, including arrangements for napping in the full day programs. Parent involvement with the school program is valued and teachers are available to meet with parents through home visits or at school. Special support services are offered to the program such as Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy, educational consultation, social services, and health and nutrition as well as parent advocacy.

Integrated Preschool Program Times:
Full-day   8:30a .m. to 2:55 p.m.
Half-Day  8:30 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.

The Greenfield Public Schools/Academy of Early Learning is also the lead agent for the Community Partnerships for Children (CPC).The CPC is an organization of people committed to fostering the gowth and development of children and provide resources to families in the Greenfield community. Greenfield Public Schools - Head Start Collaborative Preschool

This Better Start Progam offers 1 full day and 1 half day programs. It blends the services of public school and Head Start for 3, 4, and 5 year olds and their families. The programs are committed to maintaining a balance of ages, individual differences and provide enrichment activities for all abilities. Heterogeneous education is the guiding principle in the program's design, meaning that all attempts are made to balance the aspects of age and sex; a range of individual differences can grow and learn together.

Better Start Program Times:
The full-day program meets four (4) full days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday with half-days for home visitation/parent conferences (Friday p.m.). Program time is 8:30 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.

The half-day program meets four (4) half days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Fridays are used for a.m. home visitation/parent conferences. Program time is 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.
