I have been teaching within the Catholic schools for eight years. In the past, I have mostly taught 5th & 6th grades, but more recently I have been able to teach my favorite class, art. I get to draw, paint, and sculpt with kids all day...what job can be better than that?

When I am not teaching, I am usually with my family. My husband, Rob, and I have been married for eight years. We have a son, Brenton, who is in the 2nd grade at St. Mary's. Our daughter, Kennedy, is in preschool at St. Mary's too. We also have a baby boy who was born in March and his name is Elliott. Our cocker spaniel, Baxter, rounds out our family.

4. I played the saxophone for 9 years.

5. I hated social studies class as a kid but it is one of my favorite classes to teach.

6. Math was my worst subject in school.

7. I graduated from Heidelberg College.

8. My favorite restaurant is Olive Garden.

9. My 6th grade teacher nicknamed me Bert...and actually called my that in class instead of Brittany.

10. I won a Young Author's contest when I was in the 5th grade.
