Calvert Catholic students continue to surprise me with their amazing talents and enthusiasm. Thank you to all for your efforts and great displays of artwork! With a new year comes new skills to focus on in class. We will be incoporating new elements of art into our masterpieces. We will be focusing on line, form, space, and value. Of course, we will be using color and texture as well. Students will be getting opportunities to create 3D art with various materials, demonstrate relief art, learn new painting techniques and more. We will also begin learning about artists and their influences. We will even be sharing how the churches have been influenced by art.

Keep those creative pieces of artwork to help decorate more than just your refrigerator. Student artwork looks great in frames and makes great gifts for the holidays or for birthdays.
