I live here in Blount County.  The best place in the world.  My favorite spot is Cades Cove and my own back yard.  Either one is a blessing after a long day at school.

 

I was born in Knoxville, but lived in Florida for several years.  We moved to Florida for my dad's health.  When my mother and I lost my dad to a heart attack we moved back home to east Tennessee.  I lost my mother in April of 2004.  My family now consists of my daughter and my aunt.  My daughter's first name is Barbee.  Her last name is not Barbee (you can stop laughing now.)  She is a pediatric nurse and really enjoys working with children.  My Aunt Helen is a retired teacher that lives in Middle Tennessee.  At 88 years old she is still volunteering at her local elementary school in the library.

 

I have taught in both public and private school settings.  I have taught elementary and college in addition to middle school.  Middle school level is my favorite.  There is never a dull day at EMS.
