My parents have been in the education sector for many many years and my brother and I never wanted to be teachers growing
up. My mother is currently a Second Grade Teacher and has been teaching for 46 years. My father has been a High
School Guidance Counselor for the past 10 years. My brother did not become a teacher, but he has been working at a community
college as a Senior Executive Researcher for the past 4 years and will soon be a Dean of Students. As much as I tried
to avoid teaching, the only thing I have truely loved about any of my jobs has been the teaching aspect. I enjoy
teaching and I am ready to take this on as my lifelong career of choice. EDUCATION is in our blood!!!!!
I do have to say that Science was not always my strongest area but it was always in my top 5 favorite classes list.
I am very happy about being given the opportunity to share my joy for science with others because we are all LITTLE
SCIENTISTS at heart.
